El pasado martes 17 de diciembre, se llevó a cabo una nueva jornada de trabajo en la Huerta Comunitaria de la UNSAM, en la que se instalaron importantes mejoras y se realizaron diversas actividades de mantenimiento. Esta jornada, contó con la presencia de Angelly Sánchez y Sabrina Rendon, integrantes del equipo de “Al rescate del Tomate Criollo” de la Facultad de Agronomía de la UBA (FAUBA).

Bioleft at the first Provincial Conference of Agroecology

The first Provincial Conference on Agroecology took place on November 8 and 9 at the National University of Luján. This initiative brought together various stakeholders, institutions, and farmer organizations to create spaces for dialogue and address the main challenges faced by agroecology-based food systems.

Bioleft in the First Environmental Conference of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) 

Last June 5, International Environmental Day, Bioleft and the team from “Al Rescate del Tomate Criollo” [To the Rescue of Creole Tomato] participated in the First UBA Environmental Conference held on the Faculty of Agronomy campus, with the goal of meeting, interacting and making visible the University contributions on environmental matters. It was an enrichment day, where we could gather and learn from experiences of management and innovation and become aware of the actions and contributions of the University community on environmental matters.

III Argentine Agroecology Congress

From Bioleft team, with the participation of María Laura Bravo y Selva Cuppari, we shared the experience report: “Collaborative evaluation of local tomato varieties in the Participative Plant Breeding process”. In this presentation, also written by María Paz dos Santos, the results of the 2022-23 tomato campaign were presented, highlighting the participation of gardeners in the design and sistematization of variables that allowed evaluating the tomatoes distribuited under the joint project between Bioleft and Al rescate del tomate criollo. The partial and final results were shared in virtual workshops organized by Bioleft, which had a wide participation.
